I don't have a I phone but use applied ballistics with great results.

On my iPad, I use iSnipe (ballistics) and iStrelok (reticles). I'm pretty sure they'll go on an iPhone also. Give them a try. I like them a lot. You can load the info on all your rifles and even different bullets/loads in the same rifle. Unless you have a scope reticle from early in the Ottoman Empire, it's in iStrelok.

"Shooter" is $9 and worth every penny. Guys that shoot precision rifle matches use it if that tells you how accurate it is. It's not as good a Kestrel with Applied Ballistics but it runs a tight second at 1.5% of the cost.

If you have a signal it will populate Density Altitude and Temperature and adjust your corrections accordingly. However, this really only becomes necessary outside 500-600 yards. If you're shooting closer than that a good ole DOPE chart is all you need since your elevation corrections won't change all year, in all conditions if you stay close to the same elevation above sea level. For that you can use jbmballistics.com and it is free and very accurate.

Jbm doesn't have a app that I've heard of. I believe what he meant is to use jbm and print off a drop sheet.

On the Applied Ballistics app I listed I use it in the field and can use the gps off my phone to get live weather station data. If I had a Krestel I could link using bluetooth but I don't know if that feature is there for the iPhone yet. Another plus is it is fully supported by Bryan Litz and his data.

This runs off JBM

http://ballistic.zdziarski.com/

This is the Shooter.

I started with shooter and have used it for two years now and am comfortable with it.
Just downloaded the Ballistic to my IPad as my son liked it but so far its not as intuitive but its probably me. confused

Ballistics FTE is one of the top one's. I played with Shooter, but I could never get it to give me correct dope. I use a print out from here: http://www.mega.nu:8080/traj_dat.html
