The only thing I blame on the outfitter is the hangovers since my glass stayed full the entire time I was there... (Truthfully that's my choice to say no and to know when to quit).... But its much more fun blaming yall wink lol

Africa is one of my favorite places in the world. The only time I have ever wanted a backup from my PH or guide here in the states was on an archery Cape Buffalo. I felt like my life was in his hands even if I made a perfect shot. Lucky for us both it was not needed.

It happens to us all! Even being a Guide and Outfitter and hunting most of the year than not, the worst shot I have ever made was on an Eland in South Africa! I would have begged for some help on that deal. 2 days and 10 miles later I finished him off and was able to recover the hide and the horns. No matter the gun and the experience we are all still human and with that comes errors. When you start not caring about shot placement and swift kills then its time to hang up the hunting gear! Just my opinion of coarse!

Now that's funny. My wife and I went a couple weeks after you and I think I've had enough Jager Bombs to last 'til next summer! Good times for sure!

Cody, that is a question I've been asking myself. When I schedule that Nilgai hunt with my crossbow I have one shot....and only one shot. This will be my biggest ever challenge. Yes, I can [censored] it pretty quick, but this animal's not going to give me that second chance. Just hope and pray that you can get me close enough to make that ethical shot.......bring your rifle.....just in case......I will get with you soon to schedule it.

It will be a challenging hunt for sure, But the right time of year with these animals and the chances go up dramatically, and don't worry I will bring my rifle just in case=) looking forward to the hunt !!
