All predator calls.com has Wicked W400 marksman kits on sale right now for $119. Not too bad of a price for a great light.

NightHuntingDepot.com has the same kit on sale for the same price. Jeff's a Texan too!

Uniquefire T20 and a Panasonic ncr18650 li-on battery. Spend another $20 and put a doubler on it.

They make ammo specifically for hunting for a reason! nidea

I think you would be happy with one of our kits. Quite a few mounting options included in our kits and they come with Samsung batteries. We have an ad in the classifieds if you want to take a look.

If you want them to last and make it through a couple night hunts when the sh1t hits the fan, spend the money on a good light. If you are easy on your stuff, buy direct from China for about $25.

I spent money, $130, on a "good" light and the good lasted until a lens fell off and scattered the hogs when it hit the floor of the stand as I was raising the gun to shoot.

On the other hand, I have bought six cheap Ultrafires for about $12 each, the 501 and 502 series, in white, green and red LED's, I take them hunting with me every other week, and they have not given me any problems. I'll even mount them on my rifle when hunting at night. I keep the batteries charged and they work.

So much for the theory of you get what you pay for.

Ultrafire C8 mine came with a pressure switch. Added a 1" scope ring to the rail on my rifle and it's a done deal. I've got $7 in the light and about $4 in the battery.

I know what you mean. I have 3 cheap china green cree lights at my cabin that I let everyone use for hog hunting. Been using them for 3 years and still going. Have about $50 invested in all three with lights/mounts/batteries/chargers/pressure switches.

I also have a couple nice ones like the browning and ghost light. They retail around $120 to $180 each, and they are built a lot better. I have also used my buddies' XLR 250 and 100 light and they worked nice too.

The 4 ultra fires I have had for couple years have all worked great. Red green white with about a 100 yard range and rechargeable batteries. I had one issue with the button switch but it was an easy fix with a little super glue.

Give thanks in all circumstances.

We have quite a few of the top brands on Night Hunting Depot.com. Give them all a look. I have the most experience with the Wicked Lights, and I have never had a problem with them.

Ultrafire batteries are not legit. You can buy the shrink wraps off the internet. Just google Ultrafire explosion and you will see. They are recycled laptop batteries from Maylaisa where there are no laws concerning quality or construction. Here is what can happen. http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/showthread.php?280909-Ultrafire-18650-3000mA-exploded

This is why we try to include the best batteries we can find in our flashlight kits and still be competitive in price. While none of the batteries out there are immune to this type of issue we try our best to reduce the risk buy sourcing quality batteries.

I have 30 laptop batteries that I personally disassembled, tested each cell and culled the bad ones. I went on Alibaba and got a couple of the C8 style lights, then proceeded to abuse them for the last couple years. No issues, no drama. Considering what you pay for 'name brand' aka OEM'd lights coming from China, buy a few and never worry again!

Depends on what kind of night hunting you are doing. For calling its hard to beat a brinkman black max 500,000cp with lens and halo shield because of its oval beam and halo. The halo shield just keeps it off of you and the truck. I have two different lightforces that stay in the truck because I hate the spot that it throws. One of them is even the high dollar variable power ones, just not worth it.

I have found that lights are like anything else... You get what you pay for. Careful buying the cheap china lights that have no warranty. I have heard a TON of stories of guys getting a great deal on a light only for it to crap out the 2nd or 3rd time out. Save yourself the wait and Heartache and buy a light with a warranty. Something like Wicked Lights, Coyote Lights, somebody who has been around a while. Good Luck.

Spend the cash and get a good light.

Yea, you can buy 6-8 cheap lights for the price of one coyote light, BUT I want to know I'm not going to have any issues out of a light while we are out filming, guiding, or in a competition. The Coyote Light has a dimmer, has a focus hood that also acts as a halo shield, it's rechargeable and has several mounting options.

I find it hard to believe any light being more worth the money than a UniqueFire T20. Put a doubler on it for $15 and you can get a "high pass" filter in any wavelength you want for $15. Why spend 3 times as much than need be?

Here is what I would buy
$19.99
UniqueFire T20

$29.98
Panasonic ncr18650b w/charger

$3.28
Lens adapter that fits UniqueFire T20. Must be pressed on.

$11.29
2x lens with 52mm threading

$11.95
720nm cut filter

So that's $76.49 including batteries and Charger. These lights are crazy bright. If your going to mount it on a weapon you will want to wrap Teflon tape on the focusing thread to create a snug fit.

Watch this video. These are 940nm T20's. Which means they can not be seen by humans. Thanks to Hard_ware, he shared this easy and inexpensive mod to increase the lights range by about 25%. The parts are a camera adapter that adapts from a Panasonic LX3 lens to a 52mm filter thread, and a 52mm thread 2X telephoto lens.

The camera adapter fits tightly over the bezel of the T20. The press fit requires the use of a vise or a clamp. Here the adapter was started by hand then transfer to a smooth jaw vise to squeeze it further down the bezel. Warning, you should remove the T20 bezel from the host before placing in a vise or clamp.

Shown here are a stock light, then a light with the adapter attached and lastly with the 2x telephoto lens mounted.

Here is a video of before and after using a 940nm pill in the T20 host. Camera Zoom is out all the way so the whole beam can be seen. I zoomed the lens about half way through the video. The first light is without the doubler. http://s1284.photobucket.com/user/edgeer1/media/T20_2x_mod_zpsfc9e5e38.mp4.html

Does it have a dimmer that goes from 0% to 100%?
