Yesterday, first trip to the lease since duck season (January). Needed to help the land owner do some work on the ranch, and needed to check on my blind and make sure it was not floating away... Water about a few inches below "pool", it did not fill up this last rain, but I'm not complaining...



It was a nice cool morning, first view of the blind, water right up to the bottom of the blind...




Normally I boarded up this blind after hunting season for the summer, but this season I did not mess with it. I stained the inside of the blind last summer, so it is just fine..





Dang it, forgot the wasp spray... Guess I will just observe from the out side.









Here is the big blind on the dam. It holds 5 shooters, or 4 shooters and dog has its own slot. I'm going to extend this blind this year to hold a few more shooters, this will be another trip.

Great looking lease....my blood is about to boil thinking about early season Teal in 7 weeks! Great thing about Nebraska is the fact that you don't have to worry about snakes and spiders as much and it is actually cool/cold in the morning in September!

Thanks Water, this will be our 6th seasons on this lease, and 6 seasons for that blind. We built it in out garage summer 2009...

All is well Greg, thx. Fun watching the kids grow up, Ryan is a great kid, never has got into trouble, knock on wood lol. I can't get him to take out the trash but if that is all I can complain about I'm one lucky man....
