 Muzzle loader on LBJ

Is there any restrictions on muzzle loaders and is it only certain types of muzzle loaders that can be used on LBJ. I am looking to buy my dad a muzzle loader to use on LBJ and don't want to buy one if it is not allowed.

I don't think there is any restrictions on muzzle loaders at the Grasslands. I've seen people hunting with modern inlines w/ scopes, flintlocks and percussion rifles.

 muzzle loader, after firing one or two shots with GOEX threw my muzzy, have found it needs cleaning. In lines have ta talk ta the experts, best wishes android acting up

325-643-5977 is no. for wildlife office. let is know what ya find out. got side lock, am thinking mine would be allowed for muzzle loader. do know my black powder .44 would not be allowed, my New Orleans Ace may not., although is muzzle loaded

Yeah, it annoys me that blackpowder revolvers aren't allowed. Same loading technique, same type of bullet and powder, only with the revolver you are loading straight into the cylinder instead of the muzzle. Kind of dumb.

As long as the rifle loads blackpowder from the muzzle, you may use it. Scopes are fine.

I believe the OP was inquiring about the national grasslands out by Decatur.

 its only number could find. hate ta see some one spend money then find out it wsd waisted. Their is big difference between side lock & the in lines.
