anyone load 45-70?
I'm looking to make some loads that would mimic the regular old Remington 405grn loads. I think these muzzle around 1350fps.
a softpoint, or semi-jacketed 405grn bullet, or even a hard-cast lead bullet. a good hunting round for less than 100yds iron sight. any thoughts?
where have yall found bullets to load? I don't seem to find much at like cabelas or the like.

25 gr. 2400 with a cast 405, 420 cast bullet. A link to some bullets, I have not used them but they look good. http://www.cowboybullets.com/45-70-cal-415-grain_p_31.html

I use 4895 and 4064. A very fun-to-shoot powder is Trail Boss.
