Won't this be a good way of letting them know you have guns?

You're probably right on the never part.

And 100% correct on the money part.

When I was over in South Africa, I saw that suppressors were fairly popular with locals, who screw them onto their bolt actions. I was told that getting a can was much simpler than getting the OK to buy a rifle (an Afrikaner must show a legitimate need for a rifle to obtain a police permit). And--get this--one guy said he paid $200 (2000 Rand) for his suppressor.

When I mentioned that in Texas, a suppressor requires a permit and often costs more than the rifle and scope put together, they refused to believe me. Finally, one replied, "Well, I guess I'd just have to f*** off the bloody can."

Pretty sure in Britain where guns are almost non-existent you can go into a hardware store and buy a suppressor. Our laws are ignorant SBR's, SBS's, AOW, and Suppressors should have never been regulated by the ATF. Idiots use movies and how "scary quiet" they are to pass laws.

I can have a 16" rifle, but not a 15.5" rifle legally LOL WTF... I can have a 7" AR "Pistol" which is arguably more concealable than a 7" SBR due to butt stock, but I can't have a 7" AR with butt stock LOL WTF. They both are same overall length with stock fully collapsed and both shoot the same round. Only difference is one has a plastic piece allowing it to be shot from the shoulder so it is regulated. I'll never understand these ignorant laws.

I just dont get why there is such a big deal with them being so regulated ....to me if you can build one from an oil filter or something like that then why the heck have such tight laws on them .I would love to have one but not going to deal with all the red tape to get one .

I only bow hunt. And I sold all my guns. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Lol. Even if you had a horrible boating accident which was carrying your safe full of guns from your beach home to your mountain home, you could still sign the petition.

Agree, just take away the f-ing wait time. It sucks paying for the tax stamp but the wait is worse.

Agreed.. I'd have way more NFA items if all I had to do was pay an extra $200 and not wait.

I don't own any guns. I am a CHL holder just because I thought taking the class and doing everything else to get it would be a fun thing to do. I definitely do NOT own any guns though. Who even needs a gun?! Guns kill people guys...

Amen. It's not the $200 that's the main problem. Do a background check the same way they do them for guns.

Yep, honestly I think people would pay extra to have their tax stamps expedited. Someone could make a good bit if money if they figured out a way.

They want to make it a pain . They don't want it so easy to get. Then everyone would have them .

I agree about the wait time. I currently have 2 in jail. Funny thing is wait time is shorter for sbr's than it is for suppresors. That makes zero sense.

Just got a Form 4 back on a suppressor in 3.5 months. Filed a Form 1 today on an SBR, hope you're right.

You get to efile the form 4 or have to paper file?

Ya we got a Form 1 back in 4 months as well.
But now we are paper filing again on supressors. Wait times were 9 months, 12 months, and pending on 2 others. Hoping for some of that 6-7 months I've been hearing about.
