Saw the same 2 mulie bucks as before and got some better close up pictures of them. Still looking for their dad though. A decent antelope probably not a first day shooter but certainly a good insurance policy. This was my first time seeing a bear on the place, so I'm headed to town to get a cam and some bait to see what we are working with for the fall.

The Lord is shining down on me today… Bears actually open up August 1st and I'll still be up here. The tag is over the counter, baiting is allowed, and there isn't a limited quota for our unit. I'm fixin to head into town and get some bait sites going.

What! no trout!!

Maybe in the next 4-5 weeks. The river looks like chocolate milk right now = terrible fishing. We had so much snow pack this winter that it's going to take an extra long time to get the run off down the mountain. The runoff is great for our barley but awful for the fishing. Barley makes us money and fishing doesn't, so I really can't complain too much.

A couple decent bucks from this afternoon and a young un black bear. The picture of that first buck does not do it justice it was much bigger than the second one. Still haven't gotten a chance to go up to the forest permit and see what the elk are looking like. I'm gonna go on a week day this week so no one else is up there :
