What shells do you shoot? Black cloud, blind side, hevi metal, etc?

I don't think it is so much what you want to shoot as it is what your gun reacts best to, I have tried these BC, Remington Nitro Steel, Winchester X-pert, Hevi Metal, Federal Speed Shok steel, and a few others and what I learned was I had to bring together several factors to get the results I wanted. #1 is patterning the gun @ about 40 yards to make sure I'm getting a good solid pattern. I worked with different choke tubes, ammo brands and shot sizes and what seems to be working for me the best right now is a Hevi Metal set up I put together using Hevi choke tubes and #3 and #4 Hevi shot in 3 inch. The other piece to this puzzle is time on the clays. I do a lot of skeet shooting, trap too before the season to make sure I am on my game. I shot sporting clays last year a little too and honestly think if you have that available in your area that is the way to go because every shooting situation is different and you are exposed to so many different angles and speeds it just makes you better....

My best pattern has been the heavy metal choke, mid range, with winchester dry-lock,(not the high velocity). Heavy metal was in a close 2nd, followed by winchester x-pert, then blind side, and the worse being black cloud. And I will say the blind side and black clouds were significantly worse than the other 3. This was all patterned at 40 yards. But overall the top 3 were about the same!

The cheapest Remington steel they have. Those black sportsmans I think, 3 in #4, doesn't matter about big name brand stuff, it's all shot placement, shoot em in the head and neck, I can stretch $15 a long ways during duck season lol, make a box last you 3 hunts and your doin somethin right

When does MPW have their sale? I've always wanted to go there.
