Leftover pot roast. I was great the first time around.

We are at the lake. You have to have hot dogs and hamburgers on the 4th, so that is what we are having this evening.we are then going night fishing, and we will put a brisket on the smoker when we get in. Will also grill some baby back ribs tomorrow. Hopefully a fish fry Sunday before we head home. We had grilled t-bones last night that turned out great.

Not cooking, just got back from fishing & gave my trout & flounder to the guy who's boat I was on this morning. I have leftovers from last night. Pan fried some homemade hot hickory smoked pork sausage, & some Oryx tenderloin. Then added some brown rice cooked with a little chicken bouillon, onions, garlic, black pepper, kidney beans, & some tomato sauce. My kind of red beans & rice. I sure like this tomato gravy, good stuff!

I'm completely spoiled now. I don't know how I'll ever eat another brisket in my life without it being wagyu. It's like butter. It cooks extremely fast because of the fat content. 12 pounder cooked in 6.5 hours at 275. Most amazing brisket I've ever had.

So what does a Wagyu Brisket set you back? Saw pricing for steaks and such but no brisket.

eek2 bolt

Don't we have a member raising "Wagyu" type beef up in the panhandle? His whole/half beef prices were pretty dang reasonable.

You need to try it once...you might never go back...I know I'll struggle with it.

I only cook brisket once or twice a year..this might be worth it. It was really worth every penny.
