Do you think the hunting will be good Saturday before the front or Sunday/Monday after the 40 degree temp change?

Yep. Last week was really good day before the change. Saw plenty of wildlife on the move. Just waiting on Mr. Big to show up again...

My money would be on Saturday.

I was thinking Saturday myself. The deer at my place are kinda wimpy
They tend to hunker down when it first gets cold...these are usually the worst times at my place. Seems to be the opposite of what I ALWAYS read and hear.

I would take a sack lunch and a pee bottle with me and sit all day.....just don't get your drink bottles mixed up.....

Saturday around 2:30 p.m. would be the best time to see wildlife. But I would be in my blind sitting on my new bucket all day. Think of all the sacks of meat you could get this weekend.

Been pretty dead since it got cold here in the Boyd area, no pics no nothing. But tonight as it started to warm up i saw alot of deer behind the house. Next couple of days might be awsome before it gets bad again. Skinner

Ask me on Monday and I will let you know. I can say that after the snow the other day, I saw more deer than I have all year. One way to find out.

I have a feeling this whole weekend will be good. I am heading out and won't return till suppies run out. I plan on taking out a crab claw buck that has been haunting my game cam all season.

So what wound up better, Saturday or Sunday? For our Wood County lease it was Saturday afternoon.

Sunday was really good for our place on the Shackelford/Jones County Line. Saw plenty of game moving all afternoon.

Saturday evening was a bust. The front came blasting through that evening. Sunday morning was a bust. The lease has 5 horses on it. 3 came directly to the feeder when it went off and they stayed to eat up all corn and then grazed too. Sun Evening, I got a good gobbler with my AR-15. So, Sun evening was best!

Lots of movement in cass Co. on Sat. morning & again sunday evening. Actually it was the most deer movement I have seen all season.

Got to the lease Saturday afternoon....battery was dead on my feeder...a wire came off the solar panel... so nothing went out for a week! Sat in the blind while 30mph winds blew...saw nothing!

Got up Sunday to 22degree temps, the same 30mph winds...sat in the blind till 8AM....froze to death.....didn't see anything...again! TALK ABOUT STUPID! ! !

Went out Saturday morning....a bust! Cows were hovering around my feeders. So bad that I decided to go home.

It took many years of freezing my butt off hunting rough cold fronts to finally realize that Texas deer don't like brutally cold weather any more than I do.
In Texas, 35-40 degrees and no wind = perfection!

I didn't get to go on Saturday I have a feeling that was the day to be out there. Went Sunday and hunted in the cold up just north of the Red river from daylight to noon and didn't see a dang thing, zero, nothing. It was 19 degrees at day break but warmed up to 29 by the time I left at noon.
