I love my 270, but would like to use it on coyotes! And its a bit overkill! I'm looking for some lighter loads, and I don't think I would shoot enough to justify purchasing all the equipment needed to do my own loading. I live near Henderson, in East Texas. If your close and willing, pm me!

Even if you only own that 270, reloading is something you may well enjoy. I won't say it's a money saver, but you can get into it without spending a ton of money. And it's really nice to be able to load and shoot the bullet you want to use. I started out, way back when, with a Lee Loader, making 270 ammo. Can't get much cheaper than that. Later, when I realized how much I liked reloading, I got more and better gear.
Recently I decided that a newly available bullet would be worth a try. I ordered a couple hundred. Once I have them, it's just a matter of a day to work up the best load. That's an example of the improved options you'd have once you are reloading. Consider it.

For a year, I shot Hornady's 100 grain SP bullet as my main hunting bullet out of the 270 Win. It was cookin' out of the barrel really fast. I took several pigs, a deer, but never a yote! Let me know if I can load you these or any of these bullets below, all in stock.

I'd suggest just shooting whatever bullet you shoot deer with at the coyotes, you don't need anything special.

If your close and willing, pm me! Remington makes a 115gr (soft-point core-lok) round for 270 that would fit the bill perfect. It's marketed as their 'Managed Recoil' round, and at 2700fps would 'do the job'. Lists for around $25 a box - just need to find someone with it in stock.
