Hello everybody I am new to this forum. this is my first post. I have a several of questions about hog hunting granger.

How difficult or easy is it to hunt Granger for hogs? How far do you have to hike in? Is this high pressure hunting or are there remote enough places for everybody? Are there plenty hogs to go around? Any and all tips will be greatly appreciated.

Emilio

Last time I hunted there was back in the late 90's. The hogs were thick and I had some great success. I hunted on the San gabriel north entrance and usually did not have to go more than a mile to find them. I ended up getting a ticket for not wearing Hunter orange and lost interest in helping eradecate thier hog problems. I hear that must of the hoogs have been removed but I bet they are just further back in the woods. Good luck if you go

Went last year a few times, didn't see much sign and also lost interest, from what I have heard the hogs that are still around have gotten smart and don't show up till after dark when you can't hunt.

welcome ta THF, can't realy say much bout Granger. the WMA's I hunt the people working their are very helpful, it used to have lots of hogs, if I could find em any one can. was told this last hunting season they said, no one been seeing any hogs. like pappy always says proof tis in the pudding so pudding one foot in front of the other, did a few walk-a-bouts, twas hard enough finding sign let alone a hog. like the experts say, they'll be back. it's a tougher hunt when wearing orange, they can detect movement, but if ya go in the thick stuff, were they bed down & hide when theirs lots of preasure, that orange is like a seat belt. I hate wearing it but its their for safety, accidents happen, ya could chase hog out & another hunter 100yrds out see it an fire. rummor has it, some of the WMA's are being over run with crack houses. so far been lucky rofl best wishes stay safe flag

There are lots of hogs at Granger. Unfortunately the grass is very tall right now & snakes are plentiful.
