I have a 22/45 with the bull barrel. Very accurate. I made the mistake of loaning it to a friend of mine and he keeps "forgetting" to give it back. That's OK. Until .22 ammo gets more available, it'd just sit in the safe, anyway. Besides, I also have a MKII that rides in the truck with me.

I forgot about the Keltec and have heard the sW MP is a nice shooter. The only 22 handgun I have right now is a Dan Wesson revolver. I was tempted to buy a Ruger SR 22 today for $320.

I have had a couple buckmarks and they are great as everyone else can attest. They are easy to add a rail and red dot sight on top which isnt always the case in a semiauto.

I have an advantage arms 19/23 kit that I was acfually able to find a dedicated glock lower for. So it is now a full time glock .22lr fully modded with 3.5# trigger bar, extended takedown, extended mag release, extended slide release just like my G19. So its great to have the two feel and function almost identical in hand. Downside is that it cost as much as a glock and advantage arms being a Cali based company only sells 10rd mags. It has been 100% reliable using minimags.

I have CZs as well and tried to do the same with the kadet kit. But I never found it to be as reliable and it required some filing to fit meaning it wasnt likely you could use it on another model CZ. But as with the glock having the .22lr CZ be the same as my 9mm CZ was nice for familiarity.

Just shot a coon at 40 yards with my buckmark on the way back to camp the other evening. Mine functions well.

IMO Ruger is the benchmark for comparison when it comes to .22 pistols. I say this because I have a ruger Mark I and have friends that have a mark III and 22/45. All 3 guns are accurate as can be, reliable , and will digest any .22LR. All three of us have had a multitude of other .22 pistols, and all three of us come back to the Ruger for serious .22 shooting.

Used to own a 22/45 and now have a Buck Mark. I prefer the Buck Mark.

I've got a 22/45 MkIII Target basic model with molded grips. 1000's of rounds through it and accurate as can be. I'll get a ejection jam now and then but easy to clear.

Bought a 22/45 MkIII long bull barrel Hunter in SS. Beautiful gun and accurate as well. Like it with a holographic site.

SiL has a 22/45 MkIII Lite. Shoots well. But I prefer the heavier guns for feel.

Buck marks are great pistols and just one's preference over the other. I'm a Ruger guy, The 22/45 MKIII's are my choice.

Have a Sig Mosquito. Very ammo selective. Accurate shooter. Hate the trigger shape as my old arthritic trigger finger is not comfortable. Wouldn't recommend it to anyone especially the way ammo is to find these days. Ruger SR22 would be my choice if I was buying a semi auto in this build. Far better built and works with what it's fed from what I've observed.

But I can't stress my high opinions of the Ruger 22/45 MkIII's. They are quality and hard to beat. A little getting used to breaking them down to clean, but with practice it gets easier.

I've got a Ruger SR-22, I've got NOTHING bad to say about it. Sucker eats any ammo I've put through it, which is saying something as most .22 pistols require higher velocity ammo to cycle the action reliably i.e. Sig Mosquito. If you have big meaty hands, it may not be the gun for you though. But if not, as another post says, you can't have more fun that a ruger Sr 22 and a box of ammo. My wife likes it so much she actually asks to go shooting with me now! I don't have to explain as much now when my new toys show up lol. Thank you Ruger, I owe you one.

I actually picked up a High Standard HD Military 22 for a great deal. It is a great shooter and in great shape for a gun made in the 1940s.

Those guns are AWESOME!
