"The Ten Commandments - Republican-Style"
I. Thou shalt talk about Christian principles, but not live by them.
II. Thou shalt attack opponents personally when you can't win on policies.
III. Thou shalt call yourself pro-life, but be in favor of the death penalty.
IV. Thou shalt call yourself pro-life, and put guns in the hands of school children.
V. Thou shalt give lip service to democracy while taking away civil liberties.
VI. Profit is the Lord Thy God, thou shalt not put the people's interest above those of your corporate contributors.
VII. Thou shalt make sure fetuses have health coverage, but leave children and babies behind.
VIII. Thou shalt bear false witness against your opponents and liberals, and demonize them.
IX. Thou shalt run on a moderate platform, then enact right-wing policies as soon as possible.
X. Thou shalt call the media liberal, so that people forget that the media is owned by corporations with a conservative fiscal agenda

I love it when Democrats say they can't understand why Republicans oppose abortion but support the death penalty, when they are on the opposite side of both issues, and don't see any contradiction there. I have no problem explaining how a convicted murderer has forfeited his right to live in our society but how do you justify taking the life of a child who's only "crime" is being conceived in a time or way his parent(s) consider inconvenient?

I can't figure out why they don't understand this. IQ very well may have something to do with it!

I can't understand why ghostman is on a site where the majority of members are probably the ones he's trying to offend.

Remember the now obsolete "Golden Rule"? = Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
For a long time most most folks have been using the "Silver Rule" = Do unto others before they can do unto you.
Now this must be the modern day "Platinum Rule" ALL of our politicians are going by regardless of party. I think The Ten Commandments (disregard the political parties, they are all guilty) self explains the defination.

This is right where it belongs, "Tall Tales and Yarns." Not even Bunker-worthy. Most of those can be switched around quite easily and some are downright laughable. As for #3. Why do accused murderers get protection under the 14th Amendment but unborn children accused of nothing more than being an inconvenience do not? That's my stance on that one.

The Ten Suggestions-Democrat Orthodoxy
1) Thou shalt deny the Lord thy God and eliminate His existence and knowledge thereof from this nation.
2) Thou shalt send forth thy bag men to shake-down corporations privately whilst thou damn them publicly.
3) Thou shalt raise thy dead and register them to vote. And while they're at it, vote twice or more.
4) Thou shalt pervert the term "pro-life" into a delusionary war on women.
5) Thou shalt give lip-service to democracy while authorizing NSA wiretaps and IRS investigations of conservatives.
6) Thou shalt keep thy people down by making them depend upon the government for thine bread, drink and Obamaphones.
7) Thou shalt stonewall and bear false witness against thine inquisitors of grievous improprieties like Fast & Furious and Benghazi.
8) Thou shalt pledge thine support for the 2A, and rescind thy pledge with calls for "reasonable restrictions".
9) Thou shalt make all issues predicated upon feelings rather than logic, for thine supporters hath no capacity of reason.
10) Thou shalt demonize FOX News while praising MSNBC, Air America, Hollywood and the Big Three networks as balanced.

I see nothing wrong with putting guns in the hands of school age children... with proper training, respect, and adult supervision of coarse. Our youth is the future of our great past time. This one is probably the worst argument you could've had on a hunting fourm...

We Republicans have only three commandments.
1. Thou shall not believe you are entitled to the property or wealth others have worked for.
2. Thou shall not seek to restrain others from doing anything they wish to do so long as their actions do no harm to others.
3. Thou shall institute no more government than is necessary for the protection of the people.

It's quite simple - many of us do not consider a fetus to be a person. Your religion/culture/beliefs might state it is a person, but this isn't shared by all. When it goes from being tissue to being a person is a matter of great disagreement and spans the entire 9 months. Some believe that it should be protected when it is only a single cell, others when it finally starts taking a little shape, and some that no protection should be given until natural birth. Given how often women miscarry under normal conditions, I'm always surprised that there aren't calls to immediately confine a woman to a bed as soon as the pregnancy is known in order to prevent the death/murder of the fetus.
