Looks great!

Good work. The tool you made will outperform and outlast many very expensive custom knives. Keep at it and again - nicely done.

ps Consider using corby bolts instead of pins to attach the scales.

Nice job, I think you are hooked, we will wait patiently for the next one. Making knives are like eating Lay's Potato Chips, you cannot just make one.

I'm green with envy.
Get it? Green, like the handle is green, but then I added the ol' nursery rhyme or wise tail or whatever...
Anyhow, green with envy. That's me.

Corby bolts, like all bolts, are MECHANICAL CONNECTIONS. A straight walled pin and epoxy is NOT a mechanical connection. There is no substitute for a mechanical connection, period. All chemical bonds degrade over time and a straight walled pin and epoxy is infinitely weaker than a bolted connection. Jantz Supply sells Corby bolts and the step drill that goes with them. Very simple to use. Keep up the good work, Jeff ps email me any time - jpnkavuy@aol.com Very nice first effort.....Jeff they maybe corbys they look pretty big. These aren't exactly corbys but they work just as well and are a little less expensive. It's a 2 part process drill thru the scale...the use a step drill to countersink
