We are looking for a family oriented hunter to take over one spot on a three gun, low fence, 320 acre lease in NE Throckmorton County 1.3 miles west of the Brazos River. The lease period is July 1 – June 30 and the cost is $1,900, payable on or before June 13. The lease is wooded in thick mesquite with tall grasses and scattered prickly pear (some areas its thick). There are no cattle or livestock of any kind and there are no oil or gas wells. The SE corner of the lease is an 80 acre wheat field. There are WT deer, feral hogs, dove and turkey. There are two stock tanks with water. Per the landowner, spouse and minor children may only hunt in the immediate presence of the paid hunter and will hunt off of his allotment and guests are not allowed to hunt, period, and there is no youth early season for WT deer. There is a designated camp area with electricity.
This is a “no drama” lease but there are rules regarding harvest counts, types and placement of blinds and feeders, shooting dates, electric bills, and vehicle usage.
Additionally, this is not a party lease. A couple of cold ones around the campfire at night is common but please don’t inquire if you’re a drunk or you’re going to tear up and shoot up the place or you’ll be bringing a different hoochie-mama around every weekend. We are family men with young children and are seeking like-minded people. If you fancy yourself a hell raiser then stay the hell away.
If interested please PM Homer Jay.

The place is quiet...one of the things I love best about it...its very remote.
