I recently inherited a Chinese sks. It has a synthetic stock on it but I think I'd rather have the old school wood on it. Pretty sure it was bought with the synthetic stock already on it, but I really don't know. Anyway is it a simple swap or will it require a gunsmith?

It is a very simple swap. Youtube will have lots of videos for your instruction.

Pretty cool how they are put together-once you break one down for the first time you can do it again in seconds

Thanks guys. First sks.... more of an AR, AK guy. Never turn down a free gun, even if it's ugly.
