These rifles belong to someone here locally who needs to sell them. He is disabled. He has had them both for a long time but suffered a head injury and now does not remember what these rifles are. He is on Social Security and scraping by so needs to sell them. One I ID'd as a Norinco SKS. Its an older rifle with a newer synthetic folding stock. The other rifle I have no clue on. I dont even know what the chambering is. It has a bunch of strange marking on both sides of the receiver and a foreign token in the buttstock that dates 1937. Would appreciate any help on the ID of the rifle and what it might be chambered to and a valuation.

It might be a British 303, seems to me like I've seem one that looks very similar. Who knows??

yes the first rifle is an enfield chambered in a 303 and the rifle has been sporterized. Worth about $125. If both guns are in working order. Safety etc. then I will give him $250 for the pair

After looking closer at the rifle, on the receiver by the bolt handle it has

So, based on your info, Im guessing this is a Lee Enfield Mk III manufactured in 1917 and it has been altered or "sporterized a bit as the ones I see on the internet have a long wood stock going the length of the barrel with only a few inches of barrel sticking out the end.

Anyone help out on the value of the Norinco SKS? All the norincos on gunbroker are over $200 on up. The action on this one looks older and the serial number is a six digit number sarting with 0174. Are the older ones worth more? Any help on a valuation would be great. thanks.

It look like it's an Enfield (British) mostlikely in 303 it looks like the stock at the for hand was maybe cracked and was cut down some to remove the cracked area. If that's what it is it would sell for some where between $125 and $175. If it is chambered in 308 it is rare and would go for around $250. I have bought and sold a few 303s, infact I started my gun collection with a 303 I paid $100 for in really good condition about 10 hears ago. just my .02
