Usually in late July or August. also don't forget to fill out the hunting report from last year even if you didn't hunt or they will throw out your application.

Aren't these handled through Lewisville ACE office now?

Thanks,

If you didn't win any of the lotteries you entered do you have to turn in any survey? Just don't want to ruin my chances this year!
Thanks for your help

Yes you do. They have made me fill a survey out every year for the past three years and I have yet to be drawn.

Thanks for your help No, only if you were able to draw deer permit in 2013. I did not draw last year, did not have to fill out survey, and picked up my 2014 general permit on Wednesday.

Correct. Only those with a deer hunting permit last year were required to turn in a survey. The survey form was only given to those drawn when they picked up their permit. Per the website if you drew a permit, but never picked it up, you still needed to go fill out a survey. Or if you were drawn and did pick up your permit, but never hunted last season then again you still should have turned in your survey to be eligible for this year. But if you did not draw a deer permit last year, your name will not be on the list of permit holders to check against, and so no survey to fill out.
I had heard in past years where the volunteer at the desk had incorrectly made some people fill out a survey who did not apply/hunt the year before. And I know they have made me fill out a survey at the office once even though I had already mailed my survey at the end of season complete with my copy of delivery confirmation in hand. But they are much more organised now and kudos to the grapevine hunting manager for doing such a great job, considering dealing with us hunters on an urban hunting area must be like herding cats. It is time BTW. The rest of the general permits will not last long.

If anybody is looking for a partner on Grapevine. I already have my permit and would love to find some hunting buddies here who've been there.

Same here. It's my first year to do the permits for Denton creek. We used to just run out there when we were 16 and we saw all kinds of stuff so hopefully it pays off. We'll see. Y'all hit me up if you want to meet up too.
