I love looking at everyone's turkey pics so figured I should share my own.

Shot my best turkey to date this weekend in Clay county. Found the roost, set up 250 yards away. Three gobblers flew about 120 yards away. They didn't come into my spread so I just sat tight. About 20 minutes later after a few yelps they came back with 2 more gobblers. Two of them came in within 40 yards but were behind brush and on my off side (so glad I didn't try to force a shot). Sat tight and saw them leave to go with a real hen.

I kept calling and about 25 minutes later I saw two of them coming back. This time I knew I'd have an open shot so I just stopped calling. Both birds came in within 25 yards before I shot the front bird with the bigger beard. The first shot didn't kill him so I had to creep up on him and take a second to finish the job. I knew he had a nice full beard but was more impressed with his sharp spurs.

Beard: 10.25
Spurs: 1.25 &1.375
Weight: exactly 20.0 lbs (digital scale)
NWTF Score: 66.75

Dang that's a thick paint brush! Congrats!

And SM, I'm pretty sure this bird lives on my lease.

I don't know if he's been shot in the arse or just a fighter, but about every other feather in his fan is missing or broke off.
