Here's the info - would love some suggestions!

The good news:
I have free access to a property that has hogs and then owner wants them removed. I've setup a game-cam and I've seen them with my own eyes on a scouting trip.

The bad news:
1. The property owner is nervous about attracting the hogs as its a vacation/swimming property - not a ranch although its pretty remote - So I can't setup feeders and even just putting out a small amount of corn has him concerned safety wise since people do use the property.

2. The terrain - the hogs are active down in a large creek bed. Where I've scouted is on a large boulder - 20ft up from the creek - lots of trees, big boulders and dense brush along the creek bed. Including some nice cypress trees along the creek.

What's the best strategy to use here? I don't want to lose the opportunity and want the land-owner to feel comfortable. I've been looking at sow in heat scent vs soured corn vs reg corn, etc etc etc...

The best news - I get to sit in the woods by a creek and shoot hogs!

Without being able to pattern them with corn, I think spot and stalk is gonna be your best bet. Night vision/thermal would give you an edge too if he has any pastures/fields the hogs are workin.

Either that or just set up a ground blind where there is heavy traffic, bring a good book, and wait.

Which ever route you take though, definitely wanna get on it before it gets hot!

Sounds like a good place to drop some dogs and let them pattern them for you.

Might go the ground blind route & use some attractant.

DirtNapTET - that's a nice hog!

That's tough. If the pigs are feeding and/or watering there, then I think your best bet is to plan on a long night or a really early morning, get set up about two hours before dark (or a few hours before light) and just watch and listen. You'll either get a shot or you'll learn more than we can tell you. I don't know if you have night vision or not, but you'll want some way to shoot after dark; a kill light on your rifle is a good idea if you don't already have one. If there's a possibility that you will shoot after dark, it's a good idea to look up the game warden for the county you'll be hunting and send him a text explaining where you'll be and what you'll be doing... He'll be pizzed that you didn't if he's nearby and comes to investigate shooting after dark.

Good thinking re game warden - I've never hunted this close to home so would be cool to me the local warden. I have a green LED light with scope/barrel mount I've used out where I normally hunt - works great!

What about eCalling? There are guys on THF that have great success calling in hogs.

The landowner doesn't want hogs to be attracted to the property.

Ha - lazer-tag sounds awesome.

I did get approval for some attractant and was out scouting this weekend (couldn't hunt due to family/friends on the property) but looks like this week I've got the green light!

Thanks guys for all the advice! Figured I'd post a few pics. Hard to see from the first pic but I'm sitting behind some brush - 27 yards away on a huge bolder from the red "kill zone" and at an 18% decline. As you can see its tight & lots of brush! The creek runs parallel to this spot but I need a stand & some climbing sticks to get up into the cypress trees there. I have my camera behind the large oak on the left.

I was thinking shotgun at first but everything I've read advises against it. Right now my plan is to take my .270 w/light and aim low! I think the closest deer I've shot was around 40yds so 25-30 is a bit out of my comfort zone w/that decline.

Tight shooting lane

Some piggies have been coming by!
