This is your chance to upgrade your trigger. The X Mark Pro is not a very good trigger, even "tuned" ones I've felt were not great. There is a good chance Freedom group will have your guns for quite a while. I made this video for folks that have not swapped a trigger before. It's really not that hard. I hope this helps some people on here. I feel like it's the best choice.

That's what I intend to do. I'll probably do a basix or a timney. I've got a basix in another rifle and I've liked it so far.

Got the basic Timney trigger on Ebay for 100 shipped. Honestly, my favorite part about the trigger is that the bolt release does not rattle around. There is a bolt that can easily be tightened and adjust to desired tension.
The trigger breaks clean and is supper light. I am so happy with the Timney trigger, I would not hesitate to buy another and would absolutely drop it in any other Remington I own in the future.
Took maybe 5 minutes to install and now I am 100% confident that my Remington rifle is safe.

TxKiller I've had the same experience. I had a trigger shoe that broke in shipping. I sent it to them, and they sent me a brand new one. I've never had to call jewell for anything, but that's my favorite trigger for my match rifle. This Calvin Elite sure gives it a run for it's money, but I need some more time with it to give it an honest review.

I have a Basix and a Timney on two different Remington 700's I like both but I am slightly more fond of the Timney. Both are set between 2.0 and 2.3 pounds and are much better than the Remington trigger. I used the basix on a 80's model BDL and the Timney I replaced X Mark on a brand new CDL. In my opinion you cannot go wrong either way.

cool My 700 has a Jewel that I very much like but my Nosler TGR came with a Rifle Basix It is a very good trigger as well, no creep, clean break, etc..
Haven't ran a Timmey in a bolt action but like their AR single stage
life is too short to run crappy triggers

I don't think I'll set it that light, this is strictly a hunting rifle and maybe punching paper when I'm bored... but I'm leaning towards Timney and friday is payday. I'm looking at 3.5-4#

Thanks I've found all of mine on GunBroker for $100-$110. Wouldn't surprise me if the Timney's went up a little because of the demand right now due to the Remi recall. I have Timney's on 4 700's and 1 model 7 and don't have any thing negative to say about them. Hard to beat a $100 upgrade that makes a big difference IMO.
