I thought I saw some discussion of .17wsm here a while back but I can't find the post. I hope a few people have picked one up by now and can comment on it and report on it. I've been waiting for the Winchester low wall to come out in this caliber and I'm seeing a few of these rifles show up now. I know the B-mag has been out for a while now. So, anybody shooting the .17wsm?

I bought a 1st model thin barrel BMag when they first came out. Didn't care for it one bit! The stock is flimsy, the barrel too thin and heated up too fast for descent accuracy. Then I got the new stainless, heavy barrel model and all is well other than the usual clunky bolt. I can get over that. Here is my first 3 shot group with 20 grainers from a pretty warm barrel after I got done with 25 yard zero and plinking at 50 yards with 10 or so rounds. Not too shabby!

If the stores closed up tomorrow, a man should have enough Ammunition, Bic lighters,Tabasco sauce, Whiskey, and freeze dried Coffee to last him and his family until the casket.

I bought the B mag when it first came out, shoots great, didn't notice any barrel warming up other that what you would expect (we have a compressed air set up to cool down barrels) just got the Winchester 1885, hope to shoot tomorrow and check it out.

hold on Newt, we got a runaway

I don't have any pics of my groups, but I get dime groups at 100 yards easy. It is a cheap gun, but works good enough for me. There are a few better guns in that caliber coming out this year.
