Looking to buy a new ground fill feeder that won't break the bank. Looking online at the Spintech site and thinking about the Gamemaster 285lb Capacity 6 Volt Digital Control Unit. Haven't bought a feeder in a long time and this is priced right for me, any opinions?

That feeder will not be very stable IMO. Hog or cattle could knock it over easily. These would be more stable and better control units also. You can get them with the eliminator spin plate or regular style spinner plate.

PM Ramball on here. He built one for me for a great price. It is very sturdy, and should last a life time. I am sure he could build you a smaller version if that is what you wanted.

I don't have pigs so this works for me. It's very wide at the bottom. The only thing I'd change is put a 12-volt motor to throw it a little further. It's about 7' tall.

I have a couple feeders I'm going to sell then I'm going with Diamond varmint proof.

I work hard, drink a little and hunt when I can.

Have you looked at the all seasons 600 stand fill?

Due to finances, etc.. I got the Spintech Gamemaster. Now I just have to assemble the thing. It has the stake holes on the feet so I can stake it down good. Lets see. Thanks everyone for the comments/advise.

Guy has a Diamond 600# stand and fill in the Classifieds for $575. Not exactly cheap but a good price on a feeder that will last a long, long time.

Look at Lanco or Capsule feeders as well.

Make sure you hog panel around it if you have hogs or they will destroy it when they decide they want to.
