I'm looking out for some information on the best calls to use this time of year for coyotes and bobcats. I'm using a FoxPro Fury.

I like coyote pup in distress for dogs and some kind of bird for cats. Baby cottontail works good for both also. Hope that helps.

Woodpecker distress sounds worked best for me on Bobcats, though I haven't shot that many of them.

If during the day....try playing crow in distress sounds, and get the real ones flying over you, then play baby ctntail and be ready because the yotes will come in immediately if they're in the area. This is a great set up.
hey guys. i'm new to the forum and am from OH until about 3 weeks ago. Residing in Houston now as I relocated for my job, and looking to get into the game down here. I hunted coyote about 3 to 4 x per week in OH. Took 43 this yr up there with my shockwave and some mouth calls. Mostly during night hunting. If anyone is around the Houston area I'm looking for friends to hunt with if anyone is interested.

Assuming you shoot the crows while waiting for the sun to go down? Sounds like more fun that way. cheers

Mix it up dont be afraid to play something crazy. Call nearly constantly and vary volume. Tough time of year to be calling, but stick with it! There is no one call wonder. We have called up preds with animal sounds that are not even native to area lol
