Can anyone recommend their favorite Texas trainers? I am also close to Louisiana, so I'm open to anyone you can think of in that state as well.

Dan out in Caddo Mills for Marks-A-Lot Kennels is definitely top in Texas! My 7 month old pup has been with him for 1.5 months now, and has progressed phenomenally! In fact, I just visited him last weekend after him being there a month.
Dan is definitely the best choice you got out there. He's right outside of Dallas, very good priced, and an amazing facility.
Coastal Prairie & Matagorda Bay system. Sic'em.

I would check into brushycreekretrievers.com in Royse City as well. Tim is a great guy to deal with and knows his dogs.

Look into Travis Wright and The Retriever Resource in Tyler http://retrieverresource.com/I've known Travis for over 10 years. He's as good of a guy as you'll find and he's a damn good dog trainer.
