Magpul announced today that they will stop making cheaper colored mags. If you buy magazines on the futures market, you might want to pick some up and hold on to them for a while.

Why would they quit making the different colors? Are they going to stop making different color stocks, grips, and handguards as well?

My bad, looks like Gen2 and MOE Pmags will no longer be offered in colors.

How about Gen3 PMags?

They must be getting ready to roll out the Gen 3 colored mags, no way they would give up that much cash to the competition.

In my AR gen 2 mags insert, feed, and release without a hiccup; however, the two gen 3 I have tried will not. Why would this be?

Your lower might be out of spec.

Could be. It is a Detroit gun works lower. I have 5 gen 2's that work easily without issue, the two gen 3's I have tried (a 10 and 20 rd) are nonfunctional. Something has to be different with the mags

Do they just not fit at all or they don't feed? I have and old AR Stoner metal mag I used just for making holsters with. I tried it in my spikes and it wouldn't fit. Tried it in my PSA and if fits fine. All Pmags work perfectly in both lowers.

I would have to bang the hell out f them to get them to seat and click in place. Then have to pull the out like pulling teeth.

It is the small rib that sticks out of the back about half way down. it comes in contact with the magwell just in front of the trigger guard. file it down and you will be good to go

I had to do that on tapco AK mags. They wouldn't snap in on my norinco.

+2.

I have a S.W.A.T lower that catches in the same place on all Gen3 PMAGS.
