Hey Guys and Gals,

I recently purchased a Ranger Crew and looking to add a gun rack of some sort but not sure which direction to go. Anyone care to share what they are currently using and pros and cons? Pics would be helpful as well. Thanks for looking and I appriecate all the input. Take care,

Big Sky Country overhead rack. I have the double gun overhead type rack bolt under my roof on my Ranger. I also have 2 Kolpin Gun Boots mounted on the front roll cage one on each side.

Thanks bud. I really like that idea. Just have to see if it would get in the way of my speakers and radio on the Pro Box top. Thanks again.

You might email them and get their feedback. They have quite a few new style gunracks on their sight now also.

I have the kolpin in the front, bolted to a plate that fits the OEM holes. I did this so I could easily remove it if I am not carrying and need room for all my kids. I carry my rifle along with my brush gun if I hope to pull up to a group of hogs.

I also have the dual scabbard in the back that I am surprised to say that I really like it. It came in handy when Transporting people to the stands, and the field for bird season.

Thanks for the input ijohnston. The front kolpin rack that you mentioned, is that something the bolts on top of and parallel to the dash? Just trying to figure out what that looks like. Do you happen to have a link to it? Thanks again for the feedback.

Looks good. I really like the under the roof mount. That might be the way I go if I can get it to fit on my top. Thanks for the pics that really helped.

On Kawasaki Mules we bolted 2 pieces of flat steel strap 2" wide from the front roll bar to the rear roll bar. Then attached the Big Sky double rack to it.

Got the rack installed last night. Only took about 30 mins. I only had to loosen a few of the bolts on the top in order to slide the clamps in around the roll cage. So far I am very happy with the rack. Its in a handy spot and out of the way. Thanks again for the advise. Here are two pics with the rack mounted under my Pro Box Top. I used the drop down mount option. Therefore the rack is about 1.5 inches below the top.
