Went on my forst Turkey hunt on Tuesday up in bowie Texas. The guy has a nicr set up aNd put me on his 80 acre lease with some woods aand wheat fields. Normally this would be a good set up but thw wind picked up right after sunrisr and never let down. I could get the gobblers to answer me but they were the in woods on the other property and I could not get them to come out od the timber due to the wind. His other lease whixh is 100 acres of mostly timeber the three guys that were on that killed their birds

All in all I learned a to and will be goinf back. It was an amazing feeling to get those gobblers to call back to me!

Haven't had much time to get out and hunt yet, but I'm headed out at 3pm today to find them and where they are roosting to hopefully set up on them in the morning. Ill let you know how it goes and if it is a sure spot ill fill you in on where its at and maybe you can get out to it next week.

I hunt at Ernest's place often. Called in 5 toms there Wednesday on the 100 acres. Didn't get a shot though. Good luck. Let me know if you want to team up and go out there one day.

I meant Wednesday not Tuesday haha and so we were there on the same day. Right after you guys left he took me over there to check out that property and we ran into a tom while driving around was pretty cool. I am going to go out there next Tuesday if you are free.
