 Ideas for Hooded Merganser mount

I've got 2 HMs that I'm wanting to do a mount with but can't decide on a pose/position. The best ones that I've seen are standing on a pedestal, which in my understanding is their most natural position for showing off their colors and "hood," but I don't have any place to put a pedestal..... So I'm open for some suggestions. Thanks

You could a doing a swimming wall plaque. Just like the standing pedestal but mounted on the side and the feet down in paddling form. You good have room for a pedestal somewhere unless you just have tons of mounts. Seems like to me Im out of wall space long before I'm out of tabletop/desktop/shelve/topoffurniture

Dang I want one of them. One of the only birds I really want and can't ever see any in the panhandle.

I shot these with a single shot and decided to have them mounted together. Interesting combo to say the least.
