Does Simmons have good customer service? Was looking at one of their less expensive scopes but want to know that I will be dealing with good people if something happens to the scope.

Yes. On par with the high end mfgs in my experience. It's been a few years back but I had an older Simmons scope, on a 300 H&H. One that my dad had ordered when I was just a kid (and paid good money for it too). Anyway, I pulled the gun out to get it ready for the season and the scope had a bunch of trash in it. I sent it back and within about 2 weeks had a brand new model that was comparable (probably not in quality, but things have change) to the one I sent back. The replacement has been on my 243 since then... about 13 years I think, and performs flawlessly.

Last time I had a Simmons scope mess up, I had to send it to bushnell for realir. The scope was discontinued so bushnell offered me one of their scopes that was similar to my Simmons.
