I'm confused about what your asking. The best way to lure them is by calling, and there is quite a lot to that.
Go out and try to find one of the Predator Pursuit videos. They have a lot of info for beginners. Pay attention to everything in the video.

thanks just bought one of the videos to check it out. I was wondering if there is something for lighting that can help to sight in at night?

You can hunt them over a carcass with a night vision scope, that works too, but the night vision scopes are HIGH DOLLAR!

If you can't afford the $400 + for a gen-1 nitescope, then you can use a red-lens spotlight. Gun-mounted ones sell for around $60. Appearanly the red-light doesn't spook them like a regular white-light will.

Throw some half-rotted meat or carcass out, nice and sour smelling, and use a rabbit distress call, or something to call them in.

They will seize the chance to eat no matter what time of day or night. Get ya a wounded rabbit call and sit tight while calling. They are in the area and will come in.

THose gun mounted spotlights dont last long. Use a regular plug into the cig lighter spotlight with a red or amber lens. You can buy a pigtail accessory for those that allow you to use a car/truck battery in the back of the truck instead of using the battery your truck runs off of.

Light doesn't spook them. When they see you, that spooks them. Some hunters use red lights some use white only. Its good to use the red at first and then take the filter off when you are about to move spots and see if they might be way out there. I have still got them within 50 yards with a white light and less than 10 with a red filter.

The red lens works great all the time but the Amber(yellow) lens seems to reach out there further but ALSO pics up eyes just as easy as a red & that way the white wont spook them.

One of my best hunts was using a borrowed Johnny Stewart tape call. Everytime I switch from the cottontail to the jack or vice versa after 10 minutes of calling it did the trick. Wish I could shoot that night. Had dogs within 50 yards in 4 out of 5 stands on about 400 acres of land.

it is a rem 700 .308 with a STEYR SBS STOCK from mcmillan. it has a nikon buckmaster 4.5x14. I just recently got out of the marines in may as a sniper for four years. the mcmillan stock free floats the barrel and can push it to 1,000 and some change on point target.

We use Liteforce gun mounted lights they work great. The plug into a cig lighter, I prefer the 170 size but the 140 works well too. I have called yotes using red, amber and just plain white. I think if you burn them to quick with the white light they get a little flaky but if you take your time putting them in the middle of the beam it doesn't seem to bother them at all

We use red or amber lens & hold it JUST above their heads. Seems to not blind them or throw a shadow to where they see it.

"The Night Shift" is what I think we have & we didnt like it..yes it shows night hunting but not that good. Just rarely any predator hunting shows are night hunts, more are geared to the day stuff.

The light force lights are great, but they can get pretty expensive. I just bought a cheap kit from Wal-mart for 40 bucks with red, blue and amber lenses, two batts, charger and a car cord. I bought a 10 ft car cord extension at Oreillys. If you use the red lens and keep it above their heads they will never spook. Just drop it right on them when your ready to shoot. I prefer to hunt with another person. Makes it easier.
Maggie, the Predator Pursuit vids are about half and half day/night hunts. If you haven't watched them you should, I like them the best out of all the vids I have seen.
