I Shot the Mathews Outback yes its a older bow but just realy havent shot anything that i feel is just $900 dollars better! BUT what about the New Double cam monster? Its realy got my attention and do yal think it will be as smooth and quite as the past single cams?

it will not be as smooth...both cams have to break over vs. only one breaking over....

I went from a single cam to my cam and 1/2 hoyt - not as smooth but a lot more KE

Note, this is a public forum with good info. Note, You had no idea what to expect from a new bow and someone made a similar reference to another top brand. Note, maybe you should be open minded or note that no one will help you.

Have a friend that has one, he said that it feels a lot like shooting his old Martin Fury.

(Is it ok for me to post, I've owned Martin, Matthews and now shoot Hoyt, but I'm honestly not partial to any one of them)

360+ at 30" draw and 80 lbs with an IBO rating of 5gr per lb. (400 gr) Careful that arrow might not make it out the bow.

I like how there whole company has been built on smooth single cam bows and they finally realize they are getting left behind and had to go against everything they have ever stood for and made a binary system!

shot the reezen and it sucks. they had to put all kinds of dampners, a string stop, and limb savers on it so it would even shoot. i will shoot the monster when it comes out, but i am not gettin to excited after shootin the reezen. fixin to upgrade after this season.....prolly not gonna be a mathews.

My thoughts exactly. I was scratching my head on another thread about a guy who shot a new Reezen 2 fps under IBO with a 27.5 in draw. They would have had to skinny the arrow down so much that I'm surprised it made it out of the bow.

I currently shoot a Dren....not sure I like the road Mathew's has gone down. They've swallowed the "only speed matters" pill like all the others.

Is this thread a joke..... Got to be kidding me Mathews shooters only...

Need to change the title to "I'm a Mathews FAN boy and will we ever get back to the TOP"

Mathews needs to buy Hoyt, Elite or High Country to get some innovation, becuase they sure can't come up with it on thier own.

Just get something with a 7" or better Brace height. Can you imagine how hard a bow with a 5" BH is going to be to shoot!!! I shoot a Dreanlin and a PSE Dream Season. Dreanlin shoots good, but I had 1 hairline cracked limb several months ago(bow had thousands of shots through it). The PSE Dream season shoots just like the Drenalin, but just faster. Drenalin 70# 29" draw using a 440 grain arrow was 274, but the PSE dream season was 294.
Both have about the same draw curver to me. Just stick with a 7" or more Brace Height and you can't go wrong with any bow!!!! Had a brand new 08 Bowtech Commander for a whole three days, Pulled it back and was fixing to shoot and the bottom limbs came apart. The cam put a scratch on my face(guess I'm lucky). I sent it in and told my bow dealer I wanted a refund(told them I would never trust a bowtech again). Then I tried a Hoyt Katera XL, Katera, and vantage x7. I bought all three of these bows and shot them for a few months then dumped two of them on E-bay. My friend shoots the Vantage X7, but he's still fighting it. Has him a new bow ordered!!! I could'nt ever shoot the Hoyts like I could the Dreanlin or PSE Dreamseason. I feel like I had some deer rifles that were lighter then the Hoyts!!! They seemed harder to hold on target(even though the heavier a bow is the easier they are suppose to hold on target). I shoot out to 60 yards and the Drenalin and Pse Dreamseason stacks them in there!!. Good luck with you new bow and post what you get!!!

You got that right.

He should be asking all of us that are already shooting Binary cams, how we like them and if they perform well. If im not misstaken BowTech was the first to go to the binary system, in 2007.

Darton holds the patent... but bowtech does have the largest line up of binery cam bows...

mathews single cam not a bad design, its a very good one, but the new technology and tweeks to the binary cams have made the binaries very close to as smooth as a single cam with better speed and back wall..IMO

I shoot a mathews and like so. What is the deal with speed? The way I see it if you can not get the arrow to the deer before he hears it what diffrence does it make? In other words if you cant shoot the speed of sound just under 1000 fps why bother? I say put your time and energy in to accuracy and quiet that is how I see it not trying to sell anything
