I had a rodent (rat or squirrel) chew a hole in my water line. Today I went to replace the chewed section and found that it had chewed a hole in every section of my water system. Is there any material that is less likely to be chewed? Is there a way to rodent proof the system?

Don't know what else you use on the lines. Them little critters seem to just love plastic.
Rat snakes work good but that presents another problem!
If you got mice & rats next come the snakes. I've got electricity at the lease and keep mine plugged in when at home with one of those sonic repeller thingy's plugged in and so far....no critters. I do keep a few traps set in strategic locations in the storage areas too!
Good Luck....

I use the sonic repellers inside the RV as well as DCon bait. Outside I throw a bunch of moth balls directly under the trailer. No problems.

I thought about conduit and thought it might be a pain due to all of the tees in a small area. I also thought about hardware cloth like the metal screen suggestion. I like the idea of four inch pieces to make it easier to apply. I don't have 24/7 electricity so the electric repellers won't work. I also liked the suggestion of moth balls under the trailer.

Don't waste your money on the electric repellers, all you need is some Contrac Blox. They can be had at most feed stores.

2 pet rattlesnakes, a copperhead, and a rat snake works great. Make sure the rattlesnakes are either both male or both females. You do not want any babies that have not been housebroken.
