If you plan to reload, it should shoot most any bullet well. It's not the actual bullet the rifle likes, it's the load combination (the powder and the powder charge used) with that bullet that the rifle likes. If you select a bullet you want based on what you plan to use it for, you should be able to get that bullet to shoot well also.

chadtrg42 I already reload 270win and 7 mag , have had good luck with sierra bullets in 270, and horady sst,s in the mag. am looking for a well made bullet to use on hogs and whitail, on trophy buck hunts I would use one of my bigger cal, but plan on using little 250 on hogs, does, and a few varmits . really wanting a all purpose bullet yal got any recommendations, guess I would be best to keep one well made bullet for use on all game thanks folks

Any bonded bullet, or solid copper bullet would be ok. Even a partition or swift A-frame would be good. I'd lean to a solid for the pigs.

If you have the 1 in 14 twist like my 220 does, you are probably limited on the heavier bullets. From my experience, the 63 grain Sierra SMP flat base shoots extremely well and does a fine job on pigs. You might be able to stabilize the 60 gr Nosler Partition, which is arguably the best bullet for pigs (of the bullets that you might be able to stabilize). I really like the 65 gr Sierra GK in my 223, but the 220 won't even come close to stabilizing it. So for my 220, I've gone to the 55 gr Sierra GK. I haven't tried any of the Barnes bullets, and I haven't tried the Winchester 64 PSP, which I hear is a real good bullet for pigs and should work in your rifle.
If you'll drive west to around Groesbeck, I'll give you some 60 gr Partitions so you can try them in your rifle.

thanks guys have no history with the smaller cal but really like shooting the little howia 22/250. thanks for the offer 603 if I get that way I will holler at u, never heard anything bad on noslers am going to research the twist rate of my rifle and try some rounds in the 60 grain area, not really a varmit hunter and if I do will use my 223 AR
