So y'all have seen my posts. Asking which bow, arrow or broad head. I'm a relative newbie since it's been 7 or so years since I shot a bow frequently. Bought my Hoyt and rigged it out top notch. We have 2 shops here locally. One much closer to me than the other. More of a mom and pop deal. Right up my alley. Been shooting these hexx arrows outta the thing and can't get consistent groups. No rhyme or reason. Decided to follow my gut and take it to the other bow shop in town, the one I shoulda bought it from in the first place. Told the guy to just check it out for me, see if it looked right. Considering that the other shop seemed to be lost when setting up my sights, and just screwed on my hoyt blade stabilizer rather than indexing it so it'd be horizontal like it's designed to be. Come to find out, the felt for the qad drops way was put on wrong, not even on the uprights. So I left the bow to get a tune. Mistake is costing me 50.00. But it'll be tuned properly. With better arrows, went fmj this time as I'd like more k/e. Now I didn't know what to look for and not look for, not saying I got taken advantage of, just saying watch out.

well i had read some reviews but they seemed to be from people that didnt really know what they were looking for. i liked talking to the guy and his wife. they were super helpful… so it seemed. but as we got later on in the day of me choosing the bow, and rigging it out.. it seemed like he was pre occupied. there weren't any other customers, just a phone call from his daughter he was on for about 30 minutes, and a couple guys came in to shoot the sh*t. i wouldn't have had a problem with any of it if my bow came out ok.. but a 1700.00 investment is just that. he knew my backstory and concerns on equipment etc. when i asked opinions, he really didn't give me definitive answers. hell i almost left without he shocks that screw in on the limbs (that you have to take off when put in the press). i saw em on the counter right before i walked out… maybe it was just a case of getting side tracked. but i definitely had a bad taste. I'm sure he does good work, but that day it wasn't his best.

its just something that should've been done right from the beginning… like i said, you pay that much for a rig and the shop's knowledge… you ought to get that.. simple details, if you're selling something you should have either the knowledge of how to do it right or the decency to get off the phone… if i shoot the felt off thats one thing, ill put it back on. not that way from the beginning. just saying

Hey freon...Do your self a favor and make the drive to Nocked and Loaded in Lampasas for all of your bow work/needs. Aaron is by far the best bow guy in the area. This being said, I like Paul at Double G and have used him quite a bit. I also like Archery Country...They know their stuff there and have always been super helpful.
I avoid Dick's and hope they fold.

Yeah I may do that. Pretty frustrated at this point. The way I see it is you have one chance to earn my business. That was it. Won't trust em again for any reason. Really sucks cause they are very close and were nice people.

10-4. its crazy how in this day and age people don't do the job right and give good customer service. theres only 2 bow shops within 50 or 60 miles… why would you not try to be better? thing is, he thinks he is better than archery country. wasted time and money going there. how can you have the nocking point wrong? i mean really? I'm new to this and that seems like a menial thing to me.. whew.. sorry had to rant for the day.

Not .to mention guy is a champion archer This is honestly the 1st good thing that I have heard about Peacock. He may have knew his stuff...But he really lacked customer service and was ashole. I went there once, was treated bad and thought maybe he had a bad day...went back again and he couldnt have said anything worse abotu the bow that I was shooting so I kindly told him that I didnt need his services and would not never step foot in his shop again. He closed up a few years ago and Im glad he did.
