It seems now that about 25 hogs have been bedding & pretty much living about 30 feet from my feeder. Since they have been duing this, the deer activity has seemed to slow WAY down. What can I do or make cheaply to keep them on the other side of the property till the end of deer season? Bury a bucket of soured corn far away or something like that? I need some ideas. TIA

in my case, baiting has brought more hogs... I have heard people say that if you leave a dead hog lay to rot, they will stay away for a while...just hear say

Or let me shoot one or two of them. I will even haul them off for free.

I have shot 3 of them & they keep comoing back. I was told if you leave 'em laying dead, the deer won't come anywhere near. After deer season I will kill as many as I can but it seems to be a real pain in the arse right now.

if you know where they are bedding, you need to get them up as much as possible
just keep scaring them up and disturbing the bedding area and they will find another

You can kill a fly with a sledgehammer. But do you really need to son?

Well, this brings up a really good point. Most deer hunters lease a place and will not shoot a coyote or a hog until after season. I shoot a coyote on site and the same goes for hogs, reason being either one will screw up deer hunting for now on, so it is best to just suck it up and slam them when you see them. Here before long with the hog population growing it would not suprise me if leasers do not start saying you better come out with more hogs than deer.

This will not work as they will eat the dead hog
