Those are the ugliest rifles I've ever seen. Plus the fact that my non-tactical lever action can do anything that "tactical" Mossberg atrocity can do and do it better. So where is the market for those ugly Mossberg Tactical lever actions?

I built a classic one last month with a marlin 336Y. Its a sweet gun and I kept the wood stock. It now has backup ghost ring sights. Its a hell of a brush gun now.

They are ugly as sin, but that's not entirely true. You don't have a collapsible stock, or rails to mount a light to. I'd never buy one, but it would make a pretty decent brush gun for piggies.

While available in the US, these rifles will find their niche in countries where there are restrictions on semi-auto rifles. Australia comes to mind.
Just to make sure that it is done thoroughly, I go both ways.

Just ignorant. It doesn't even have a full-length top rail? The only good a front end like that would be to mount a scout scope, can't do that without a front rail. The butt stock = ugly.

I like that it has a synthetic stock. Don't get me wrong, I love wood stocks! but lets be honest who here wants to get there favorite lever with the nice wood stock out in the pouring rain to hunt hogs? NOT ME! I think it appeals to hog hunters in states where the AR-15 is not welcome. It has the ability to attach a light as well as offer quick follow up shots... I will more than likely never own one.... after all, I obviously live in a state that supports the second amendment; however, I like the idea.

It has the ability to attach a light as well as offer quick follow up shots I'm thinking of a bit of milling an maybe a little TIG welding and I can make the barrel band hold the barrel and a Surefire. Good idea about a light. The Marlin can keep the elegance of the wood and hold a light.

I'll hold out for the Zombie Apocolypse Edition. I chuckle when I see "tactical" sxs and over unders too. Might as well slap some rails on muzzle loader and make it tactical. A tactical tv remote would he a cool option.

No need, all TV remotes are tactical. At least they are in my wife's hands when I do or say something stupid. I'll hold out for the Zombie Apocolypse Edition.
