Hey Y'all,
I am looking to buy my first .22 rifle. I am getting it for 2 reasons, 1 practice shooting because I have only been shooting for a couple of years, 2 for small game hunting, squirrels and rabbits mostly.
I have decided I wanted a bolt action .22 with iron sights and have been reading up on good models. One that caught my eye is the CZ 455 Lux/Trainer. It looks great and has great reviews but I can't find a store anywhere that has it. If any of y'all know some good bolt .22 models you recommend please let me know. Also, if you know where the heck I could find a CZ 455 that would be a big help. I am located in the Fort Worth area.
Thanks!

are you looking for the 455 Lux exclusively or any 455 will do?
Just to make sure that it is done thoroughly, I go both ways.

Try Ray's Sporting Goods...I just picked up a Lux in 22 mag. 214-747-7916 ask for Chuck or Steve if they are available. Do not expect a big discount if any...the CZ's have been hard to come by lately.

Thanks for the tip! I am going to give them a call and see if they have any.

I am going to highly recommend the Savage Mark II. I don't know what they are currently going for but mine was purchased in 2011 for 139 at walmart. It is a 1 MOA gun at 100 yards and probably further, I just don't have the luxury of a large range. What I do have however, is the ability to shoot large quantities of ammunition through it and let me tell you I have never had a single problem with it out of between 3000-5000 rounds (hard to keep count). As far as cleaning goes all I do is take the bolt out, clean it off using Rem Oil, use a bore snake through the barrel, and then wipe off the rest of the gun with Rem Oil. Again I have had no problems with it and it has been a very accurate gun (and I am not the worlds greatest shooter)
God Bless America, God bless the Constitution.

I am going to highly recommend the Savage Mark II. I'm with Corey on the Savage Mark II. Corey and Okie when the OP is looking for a CZ 455, (which I would rate the equivalent of a prom queen), why do you have to suggest a Savage, ( the equivalent of the girl next door). We all know the girl next door will do but can you blame a guy for wanting the prom queen.
for every stereotype there's a prototype don't be the prototype

CZ. I shot a new one the other day and was impressed. That's saying a lot, as my bolt gun is a Win52.

Budget?? Look on Gunbroker. CZ's are nice Budget is around 500, 600 max. I'm more into buying a nice gun once rather than buying a few lower priced guns. Not to say cheaper guns in the 22 bolt action category wont last, I have just heard awesome reviews about the CZ 22lr and don't mind the extra money for quality. I have looked on gun broker but haven't been able to find any CZ 455 with iron sights. I am just looking for a wood stock with iron sights, not planning on putting a scope on the rifle. Plus, I have never handled the CZ and would like to get my hands on one before purchasing.

My bolt .22 is a Remington 512P. Thing is wicked accurate but I think you are on the right track. A good shooting .22 is a lot of fun.
LETS GO BRANDON

CZ Have a couple 452's and have shot many other brands but nothing that would touch the CZ IMO except a Cooper and can buy several CZs for the price of one Cooper.
lf the saying "Liar, Liar your pants on fire" were true Mainstream news might be fun to watch
