I think they are the white fronted , or possibly snow geese?? They have been flying over by the thousands for the last hour. I see them every year, but never in this magnitude and they are LOUD. Seriously, I bet over 10k so far!?
What are they??

That is what I thought, so I went online to hear the sounds, I'm up in the air, wife thinks they sounded like the White fronted geese? I have seen them for 50+ years flying back and forth each year and always thought snow geese. Sounds is unmistakable and usually how I know they are over head.

RIGHT!, Only good camera we have, my daughter broke! I'm leaning towards the White fronted goose after listening to a couple websites. Neighbor texted me asking if I was "seeing all the dam geese" LOL they where easily into 10k+, wave after wave.

I bet they weren't geese at all. Probably cranes. I'd bet money on it.

Had a bunch of Sandhills roost next to the house tonight. Delicious birds, they are. I don't think I could handle a temptation such as that.

We are having thousands of geese fly over every afternoon. They got my pickup in three spots Wednesday. LOL, that's funny, I was outside welding when it started, my wife ran out and told me to look up since I couldn't hear it. Sound was deafening and hard to distinguish "one sound", Only time I remember birds making that much noise, was around 1976 when we lived in Sugarland. My dad took us to some wildlife place towards LA (swamps is what I remember and NOISE) With that much racket, I can understand why some of you fellas "chute'm"

If they were snows and blues you should be able to tell by the sound. They have a very distinctive call.
