Rescued this guy well over a year ago from American Brittany Rescue. He was almost 2 years old when I got him and very stand-offish due to being stuck on an apartment porch in a kennel in the Houston area in all types of weather. He was extremely scared of thunder, lightening, fireworks and gun shots when I got him. He is coming around big time. This is the 1st point I have got a pic of him. I am proud of the progression my Max has had over the last year. Been working with him a lot and I think he finally feels he has a furever home with me, my wife and his sister brit Abby. He is daddy's boy. Proud of you Max. Lot's of rescue dogs looking for a new forever home. Looking forward to many great hunts with my boy.

So good to see a rescue getting back to the field. My wife and I have been active in Brittany rescue for years and always makes us happy to see this.

Beautiful Britt

He looks good Dave. Next time you come to the lake, bring him, I have a crapload of training pigeons now & 190 acres down the road that a guy lets me use to train on.

Have you made any progress with the gun?

Nice job love seeing others rescuing.

I know how you feel working with a rescue dog I hunt wit three. There a lot more work dealing with the other issues at hand with them but become very faithful and great hunters with time spent on rehabilitation.

He is slowly coming around. I have been shooting a bit over him and he doesn't cower like he used to. Going to take a little time time to get over being gun shy.

Birds really help. I've had thunder shy dogs which were bold to the gun.

I have two thunder shy dogs that don't give a darn about a gun going off, in fact the gun shot gets them excited.
