me and Ramsey from here on the forum will be knee deep in them down in Seguin Texas this weekend. I am actually out in my garage right now gathering everything up for four straight weeks of South Texas guiding , ground blinds camo camping.....everything.got plenty of sd cards and batteries to last down a whole bunch of hog and turkey videos. We are working with xtreme predator lights now and each of my turkey Hunters are going to be in for a treat when we start busting the hogs in the evenings with these new lights. I just can't wait to show everyone the videos when season is all wrapped up. May your calling be smooth and your aim be true Newt

Scoop taught me how to turkey hunt and I know some of you have heard it's been a rough couple months for him. He had surgery yesterday and it went well but prayers for a quick recovery are still appreciated.
On to the turkey, I have two places I am hunting this year. One in Kinney and one in tom green so an extra couple of weeks of turkey season!

Any of you guys ever use a gopro for filming turkey hunts? I could mount mine on my gun but will only see the shot so I was thinking of putting it on my mini tripod and putting in the brush looking out at the decoys. Thoughts?

I'm leaving tomorrow with my boy to the new lease in Blanco County. I haven't been there yet so we're gonna setup camp and scout Friday. I know there are thunder chickens there and looking at Google Earth I think I know where they are coming from, but you know how that goes. Hopefully they will be around.

15 year old daughter shot my turkey gun this weekend to practice and verify the pattern. We are looking forward to the youth hunt next weekend out near Bowie. She will be calling and waiting for a big bird this time.
She handled the recoil quite well.
To be determined

Good hunting to all! I just finished my fan mount from last years Tom...I may pay my taxidermist this year...it looks okay but not as good as it could. Had to blend in some feathers from another bird as I kinda inflicted too much damage on the fan, he was shot on the run at close range...
