Bummer! Looks kinda' like somewhat about a witch hunt in theory. And I am not covering for this guy, but come on, they even tried skinning Uncle Ted. We here in texas feed (& kill) turkeys under a feeder every day, and because he smashed his cell phone and found some pot in his daughters room he is under a federal investigation??? I hope these 'federal agents' leave a little room in the federal pen for some of these crooked politicians whom they should be investigating.

I'm no lawyer, but if the pot and pipe weren't on the search warrant, then it's my understanding that it is inadmissible. Perhaps a real lawyer could set us straight.

I think the thing that makes you wonder is that the first conviction could have been an honest mistake. Banned from hunting for a year. Then he goes out in full camo and baits for turkey? He was asking for it IMO.

I think the charges are somewhat excessive, but most folks after a conviction tend to fly straight and low.

The two funniest things about this are (a) his shows stills airs and heavily preaches Christian values as he repeatedly breaks the law, and (b) a federal agent, who obviously never met him, making a false assumption about his race in an interview.

Spook apparently got the attention of the wrong folks and ain't smart enough to duck and run.

He should know better but it doesn't appear he's done anything major. If he hadn't made someone mad he likely wouldn't have the number of charges sounding like they were stretch to get him on something serious. Somebody figures quantity will ad up to something big in the end.

So did he kill a turkey? Or got arrested for bird watching?

I watched a show several years back where he killed a huge Kansas buck with his bow on the ground. I think it was on Realtree Rodatrips. He was fired up and I kind of liked him at that point. If all this is true he's just an idiot!
