Does this qualify as "fresh" deer sign?

I know this one is only an 8 point but this is the one I would like to see in person. He looks pretty impressive in the picture.

The one pooping on the camera is a 3 point. I see him almost every time out. While I have seen some 8's, I have never seen the one in the other picture. Since the rut is mostly over, I probably never will. There is always hope.

Yep, there is always hope. A couple of days ago, I was driving from Dallas to Quinlan at 2:45pm. There is a high-fenced place on the way. I sometimes see a family group of does and fawns out in the openings.
A couple of days ago, I driving along and I see a doe. Standing a few feet from her is a monster of a buck. I didn't have binoculars, so I didn't get a good look at him, but I would guess that he was in the 150-160 class.
Then, I see a doe bust out of the brush. Following her is an even more magnificent looking buck. He had to be 180 class. He was HUGE.
I watched them for a while, then they started to get spooky, so I left them to do their business...make more deer.
So, you see, those big ol' boys are still out and still chasing the does. Don't give up on that big boy sticking his head out someday.
I seem to notice that the teen days of December have a lot of the bigger buck coming out to chase the does. They are chasing the does that did not get bred during the first rut.
Keep hunting and good luck

Well I went hunting today and saw the 3 point again (only buck). I even saw him leaving "fresh" deer sign, just not on the camera this time.

My brother and I went out hunting for day yesterday. You guessed it, saw the little fella both morning and evening. By his behavior around other deer, you would think he is the dominant buck. The cameras are still showing some nice bucks in daylight hours, although it has slowed. Still holding out for the long tine 8 or better. Damn it was cold.

Yes there is hope, the landowner called my brother this morning and told him he saw the big 8 with two doe this morning. Too bad we couldn't go this morning. Good to know he's still around.

I would shoot him as he winked at me!
I feed Indian Corn, the deer really seem to like it and stay at the feeder longer......and longer....!
