Whats a reasonable minimal acreage for a few guys to plant/hunt for dove over sunflower/millet. Just want enough to hold some birds and I don't want to plant my entire pasture in sunflower. How many pounds of sunflower per acre to you broadcast? I appreciate the help.

5 pounds per acre for native sunflower seeds. Plant native and not hybrid. They will come back every year as long as you disc it before March. If your going to do this you need to get the seeds in the ground ASAP. Next year all you'll have to do is fertilize and disc.
