I nearly did the same build. Build it and use it as a pistol until your SBR goes through. I played around with the Sig SB15 this weekend and its a pretty sweet deal.

Nice. Love the 300blk round, especially with a suppressor.
It is far more important to be able to hit the target than it is to haggle over who makes a weapon or who pulls a trigger.

I nearly did the same build. Build it and use it as a pistol until your SBR goes through. I have been thinking about doing this as well. Is there a requirement to have the serial number changed to reflect it is an SBR? Somewhere, I thought I had seen a lower with "SBR" engraved in it.
PRIVATELY OWNED TAHC permitted feral swine holding facility. Serving Gulf Coast and South Texas ranchers, farmers, hunters, and residents with abatement. Disposal, Traps and in-field pick-up service available.

You just have to have the builder (of the rifle, i.e. You or your trust) name and city/state engraved on the rifle. And I recommend doing that BEFORE you do the SBR paperwork just incase there is a problem getting it engraved. My SBR has "SBR" as part of the serial number because that just happened to be part of the serial number when I bought it.
