I made a flat jig out of some scrap hardwood I had. Then its sit down, watch nickelodeon with the kiddo, and bust out the file until I start speaking duck.

It takes a lot longer, but I like the outcome. Its truely 110% made by me. There does tend to be more, "I'm gonna throw this call into the wall" moments though.

Hey they call me WAL eek2

On a serious note I know what you mean. I don't do it as often anymore because I know how much and where to file now. One file swipe can send it to he!!. It is not the wasting of the insert that ticks me off. It is the fact that I don't listen to myself when the whole time I am telling myself, "Don't take anymore off". That is what irritates the absolute crap out of me.

My favorite is when I don't pay enough attention. I watch some TV with the kiddo and take a couple swipes off, Put it together and it goes from a good sounding call to, what the heck was that. That't when I get really upset.
