Couple of years ago I ordered a few Glock parts from Midway. One of the parts was a extractor for a Glock 21, 21SF, 30 with loaded chamber indicator. However I just took the part out of the bag and it is clearly not a LCI model extractor. I have determined its a 15/5 degree extractor but I don't know what caliber its for. Just inside the claw the number 5 is stamped in the metal. Can anyone tell me if that can be used to determine what caliber/model it is for?

Thanks

The best thing to do is contact Glock and see what their folks in customer service can tell you. I am one of Glocks L/E advanced armorers and I do not change things out on them. Several of their parts will work in other models, and I would need to look at it. I know that the first model 22 I had needed to be sent back because of the extractor and Glock sent me a new weapon. I have never used a Glock with a loaded chamber indicator because I can feel the factory extractor to determine if there is something in the chamber. As with all parts of firearms safety though, all guns are loaded until you know that it is not. I will be glad to help you out more if you need. Just send me a message.

I appricate it. I did leave Glock a message but they were closed so I was hoping one of yall might be able to help me quicker. Honestly I don't want a LCI extractor but that's all that's available for the SF model.

There is no doubt in my mind what someone did with this part is they ordered it from Midway and took the LCI extractor out of the bag and then put the the old extractor into the bag and sent it back to Midway for a refund. Then I ended up with it and didn't realize it until now. The funny thing is the extractor I got is worth more than the one they swapped it out for because Glock no longer makes the 15/5 w/o LCI extractor and they are in pretty high demand. I just want to make sure it is in fact a 45 extractor before I decide to keep it.

I would have to check my armorers paperwork when I get home, but the .45/10mm extractor should be too large to fit in a 9mm/.40/.357 slide. I will see if I have any paperwork listing the number markings.

It's just a pre LCI 15/5 extractor for a G21. While true they are no longer producing the non LCI, I cant say I have seen to much of a demand on them personally.

What's the part number on the bag? Glock's part number for the current extractor is #SP 04340, that's how you can know if it was swapped.

There is no SP# on the bag but its clearly labled "with loaded chamber indicator" which it clearly is not. The current part number for the LCI G21 I am seeing is SP01902 on the Midway website for what ever that is worth. Either way its not what I ordered and not what is suppose to be in that bag. But like I said.....I would rather have this one and just replace the plastic bearing in the back with a non LCI bearing and run with it.

I am pretty sure its a 45 extractor I am just looking for 100% confirmation before trying it.

The only part numbers on the bag are 995618 and 022013.

This is what you got, mystery solved.

The 995618 on the bag is their product ID.

Great detective work TH!

You are correct about that part number matching the part I got. What really baffles me is that the label with the part number and the part description is all one label. Some how the description of what is in the bag is what they got wrong. crazy

Funny thing is I got what I really wanted anyway though. clap

Thanks a million!
