I'm up here in NE working for a few months and would like to squeeze in a few hunts. Does anyone know of a good guide service up here or maybe have a friend that would need some gas money and help with the decoys? I'm staying in North Platte but can travel a reasonable distance. On the way up here we were passing through Alma, NE right at sunset. It looked like a pissed off bee hive over all the corn fields. There were ducks and geese all over the place. I had to wipe up the drool.
Live to hunt, hunt to live.

If the snows make it up here, I am headed to Beatrice next weekend to hunt snows. Not to far for you. Guide charges $100/day to hunt with him. Let me know if you are interested.

I'm heading for NW Missouri (Mound City) next Friday, Saturday, and Sunday to (HOPEFULLY) put a major dent in the Snows population. With the goofy weather- WHO KNOWS!

Next weekend should be epic around Squaw Creek. A buddy went this week and shot 25 adults in 2.5 days of hunting. My dad told me that they were thick as fleas in SE Kansas yesterday. If the weather forecast holds up, there will be lots of birds next week and virgin birds each day for another week.
I canceled my trip this weekend and will probably head that way on Friday afternoon.

Because of my Father in Laws funeral (passed away last Sunday), I will not be hunting Friday. But my lovely wife said- You ARE going Saturday and Sunday! Seems like the last few years I have had to cancel for one reason or another (2012- my back Surgery, 2013- wife surgery). She said I have to go this year even if it is abbreviated.

I've got a friend that lives in Beatrice, and apparently has been covered up with snow geese.
